Dear-Indy book launch in Tokyo

Simon Whalley is a forty-seven-year-old husband and father to a thirteen-year-old son. He is originally from Wales but spent the past twenty-four years living in Asia where he bought and sold Vespas, worked in the Vietnamese shipping industry, and taught English at every level from kindergarten to university in Vietnam, Taiwan and Japan. With his wife and son, he also transformed a dilapidated mandarin farm into an organic food forest in Japan’s Seto Sea. He was a co-founder of Extinction Rebellion Japan, the website foodfacts.jp and a contributing author to Commondreams.org, and the best-selling Carbon Almanac. He is also the author of Dear Indy: A Father’s Plea for Climate Action. He has a masters degree in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL) and currently teaches English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at EARTH University in Costa Rica.
